Ms. Lizzie (aka Laura) Elder/Mother of the LaBeaux, LaBeau, LeBeaux, LeBeau Clan. Lizzie aka Laura had 3 sons: Ursin, Burl and Spencer in the 1800's.  The name of her spouse and father to her sons are not known at this time.  We will continue to do research to input as much information as we find regarding our lineage.  Therefore, we can only suspect that he was a slave master and of French, Spanish, or European descent.   No further information is known.

Mr. Ursin Prean LeBeaux, Sr. (aka Ursin LaBeaux, Laban or Laboue) born in September 1859,  date of birth is unknown.  Ursin worked on a farm, and was drafted in the WWI war (he's draft card can be viewed in the archives).  At the age of twenty years old, Ursin Sr., married his wife Ms. Mary Bell on (July 1, 1879 or May 29, 1879).  Mary Bell was born in 1864 and she was fifteen years old when they wedded.  In their union they had a total of sixteen children, yet only 9 survived as listed: 4 daughters; Odella, Selest, Catherine, and Mary; 5 sons; Jefferson, Ursin Jr., Alexander, Stephen, and Joseph.

*The information below was a copy and paste from Ancestory.com website.

Clemance or "Clementine" Waters, was most likely a slave, because a labor contract was found with her name on it in 1866, the year of the emancipation of the slaves. Starting in that year, the former owners of the plantations had to pay wages to the people who labored on the land. A study of consecutive census records reveals that she worked as a laborer on a farm in Point Coupee. His father Burl and uncle Ursin, both owned a farm and it seems likely that William worked on that farm too. By 1930, William was in New Orleans, working as a laborer and in 1940 he was working as a warehouseman. He stayed with his wife Victoria Prevost until about 1940. However, according to his draft card for WWII, he was married to Olga Baptiste by 1942. One of his wife's nieces, Alma, who did a lot of genealogical research in the 1980's, wrote a narrative history of her life growing up in her family (Prevost). She spoke of her uncle Will's beautiful tenor voice and how he loved to sing "Down By the Riverside". This information was submitted by William's grand daughter.   *Found from https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LL74-3KD/willie-le-beaux-1890-1962

*According to  recent discoveries (as of September 3, 2023), Joseph and Corrine had five children as listed:  Louelva (1900-1968), Edna  (1900-unknown), but looking at the date of birth SHE must be Louelva's twin, Homer (1895-1973), John (1896-Unknown) and Peder Heyes (1898-Unknown).
